The Squirrel is always out scouring the WWW for nuts of information to share with his followers on the web.  Today, he ran across this article from our friends at HubSpot.  It dives into why marketing is moving online, not only because it can be measured, but also because it produces results.  The squirrel likes […]

  • What does “I like you” mean anyway

    Posted on August 4, 2010March 19, 2015 by john

I’ve heard it, you’ve heard it, we’ve all heard it, but what does “I like you mean?”  In the “real world” as those people who live outside the online world call it, if you “like” someone it means that you want to spend more time with them.  Of course the “spending more time” with someone […]

Kudos yesterday went out to Old Spice and today I’m giving the nunchucks to Levis.  Have you seen “their” new YouTube video “Guy Walks Across America?”  I think it’s been up almost 3 days and has almost 1.5 million hits.  Guy Walks Across America, was created with 2770 still frames and produced in only 14 […]

  • Why I should remove my shirt online

So, I hit the gym today.  I hit it hard.  Like real hard.  And, I put on some old spice deodorant and body wash.  Why?  Because it covers up my usual smell of man?  Not quite, but probably a good idea.  According to an article in Brandweek, as a result of their OLD SPICE guy […]

  • Why you should never not listen to your customers

    Posted on July 19, 2010March 19, 2015 by john

Social media has opened a new can of worms for many companies.  No longer can a company ignore the masses and believe that the masses will no longer be able to connect to others and spread their both good and bad experiences.  Check out what happened when a musician had a terrible experience with United! […]

I’m usually not a huge fan of CNBC, but I did find this clip interesting.  It is an interview with Benchmark Capital’s Michael Eisenberg who discusses how companies are communicating with their customers via social media and points out that just “googling” something is no longer always the best way to find information.
